Face to Face Appointments: COVID-19 Contract and Informed Consent
All clients who wish face to face support are required to read and acknowledge the following COVID-19 Contract and Informed Consent when booking their appointment via email.
Before your face-to-face appointment:
Anyone with a new high temperature, persistent cough, or sore throat or who have a loss of taste or smell cannot be on our premises and must follow current guidance for testing and self-isolation.
If either the therapist or client with an arranged session is known to have tested positive for COVID-19, the face-to-face session cannot take place, even if they are symptom free. Where possible a Zoom or telephone session will be offered as an alternative whilst that person is self-isolating.
If you need to cancel a session, please email [email protected] - 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel a previously booked appointment, otherwise there will be a cancellation fee of £15.
Payment for appointments should be made in advance via BACS or PayPal.

Contact Tracing
If it is necessary to pass on contact details for track and trace purposes, confidentiality will be maintained. It is possible to state that contact has been made without revealing the context or nature of that contact. We would not reveal why or how we met you.
Before and after every appointment
The consulting room will be sanitised and all contact surfaces will be cleaned with antibacterial spray/wipes to minimise the risk of infection.
The consulting room will be fully ventilated before the client enters the room and again when they leave.
Wherever possible the window will be left open whilst the room is in use. You may wish to be suitably dressed in layers to ensure maximum comfort.
On arrival and during your appointment
Only the client with a booked appointment should enter the premises.
We have no waiting area, so we ask that no one enters the premises without an appointment and that you arrive no earlier than your appointment time.
At your appointment time, please text your therapist to advise that you have arrived. Your therapist will come and greet you at the gate to the premises whilst maintaining a safe distance and will take your temperature using a forehead thermometer. If you have a temperature you will be asked to leave the premises and your therapist will contact you afterwards to arrange a Zoom or telephone session if you wish.
You will be asked to use the sanitising gel provided as you enter the consulting room.
The therapist will open and close all doors which means you will not have to touch any door handles.
We have arranged the furniture within the consulting room so as to maintain a minimum 2 metre distance between client and therapist. You may still however wear a face covering or mask if you so wish. If you would also prefer your therapist to wear a mask during your session please make them aware of this in advance of your session.
It is advised to avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth where possible, and that your hands are washed thoroughly when returning home.
At the present time we cannot offer toilet or hand washing facilities, but hand sanitiser will be available in the consulting room.
We are also unable to offer any refreshments or the use of tissues, but you are more than welcome to bring your own.
If you have any questions or concerns about these procedures, then please email [email protected]
N.B. Zoom and telephone sessions continue to be available also.
Having read the above you will be asked to tick a box confirming the following when confirming your booking via email:
I confirm that I agree and consent to the above contract and terms in relation to face to face sessions with any therapist associated with I CHOOSE ME during COVID-19.
I confirm that I will not make any claims against I Choose Me which are linked to COVID-19.
Thank you.
